COST AND DIET

What does health cost?

First and foremost HEALTH costs are experienced at the grocer.  You must eat the best food available meaning organic and local when possible, 80% raw at each meal, no meat or fish, clean water, and lots of supplements.  Supplements should be medical grade so for the most part, they will not be available at the grocer or health food store.

Eat like a King at breakfast, Prince for lunch, and Pauper for dinner.  So the largest meal is breakfast with lots of fiber and protein.  All your major protein has to be consumed before 3 pm as the liver cannot digest it after 3 pm so it will sit in your system and fester.  To get your daily required servings of fruits and veggies each day go to www.origojuiceplus.com and order all three blends (vineyard, garden, fruit) for each member of your family.  It will change the quality of your life.

Food combining is crucial to good digestion and overall health.  See the following chart on how to plan your meals.  This is of course a sample but it gives an idea of how foods are to be combined.  Typically you want no more than 3 things on the plate.

What about Protein Sources?

Most people believe that unless red meat, fowl, and fish are part of ones diet they will be missing proper nutrition.  Not true.

1/4 cup of food grade hemp seed has all the protein and omegas you need for the day.  Nuts and seeds also contain protein and omegas.  Quinoa (this is pronounced keenwa) is a vegetable and a complete protein- it also is high in carbs so go easy with it.

Spirulina is a complete protein and a very good source of  B-vitamins good for nerve tissue, temperament / mood, and sleep.  Spirulina is rich in gamma-linolenic acid(GLA) for auto-immune problems and puffiness; and also provides alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) for cardio vascular health; linoleic acid (LA) for unwanted growths, skin rashes, and sugar problems; stearidonic acid (SDA); eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) for mental health and puffiness; docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) for heart, liver (triaglyceride) and brain health; and arachidonic acid (AA) for muscle growth, brain health and reduces puffiness. helps to support the immune system.  Spirulina is also a rich source of potassium, and contains calcium, chromium, copper, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, selenium, sodium, and zinc.

And the old stand-by for protein is beans with rice or whole wheat.  This is not the best source of protein - it is hemp and spirulina that are the best non-animal foods.

Further, soy is not a good source of protein as it is not fit for human consumption.  See http://rejuvenationmiracle.wordpress.com/2010/01/05/the-dangers-of-soy-to-human-health/

What is the story with alkalizing?

The body must be alkaline.  If it is not, then you are in some state of illness whether you feel sick or not.  When the body becomes alkaline, it gets rid of what it does not need.  Some have reported a loss of 10 pounds of fat per month after alkalizing.  Why that is so is because the body stores acid in fat tissue.  Get rid of the acid and the fat goes.  You must use gelatinous seeds or herbs when detoxing and should have some each day to rid the body of toxins.  Gelatinous seeds are chia and flax and herbs are marshmallo and slippery elm.  The seeds must be kept whole until ready for consumption.

How to do this is really easy.  First get rid of the heavy metals in the body through our state of the art Detox Foot Spa and cilantro.  Then begin supplements and finally a special 3 day fast.  This is not a one time thing.  This requires a series of each of these steps and when complete, the rewards are worth all the detoxing discomforts.  Your skin will glow, you will have energy like never before, your bowels will move properly, bumps and lumps begin and do disappear, and your mood will be level and constant.   Also, fungus and parasites cannot live in an alkaline body - how cool is that!

Here is a sample of alkaline and acid foods.  Please note that if you have a sugar issue please be sure your alkaline food choices are low on the glycemic index.

People vary, but for most, the ideal diet is 75 percent alkalizing and 25 percent acidifying foods by volume.
And remember your stomach is supposed to be as large as your fist so begin reducing the amount of each meal and have several small meals a day. Never consume more than 3 cups of food at any meal and 2 cups is ideal.

What other costs are there?

When you are beginning a wellness program and you are not presenting any major health issues, your monthly fees for services can vary - the cost depends on your condition, your willingness to invest in your health and your budge.

What does it cost to recover from a major illness?

Major illnesses cost major funds.  Typically with full services, either at our location or on-site here at your location, the cost is from $800 to $2,500 U.S. a day plus remedies.  For our location the cost includes labor, room, and meals, but not remedies; for on-site at your location, the cost includes labor only, all other costs will be that of the client.   For those who do not require 24/7 care, which is the fastest and best way to restore health even if you are not faced with a major issue, the cost is usually the cost of services for 1-3 visits a week plus remedy costs.

Being willing is a major factor in restoration of health.  We get benefits from not being healthy like reasons why we cannot do things and we get lots of help and attention from others when we are unable to do for ourselves.  So there must be a major shift in consciousness and commitment for one to be healthy.
